Happy New Year!

I hope everyone has a peaceful and prosperous 2006.

I'm going to try and write here regularly again.I had brunch with friends and we decided to get together for tarot study in a couple weeks.

On this day of new beginnings and fresh starts, I am doing some tarot and meditation with my Universal Waite deck.

Not much going on today. I found out that my book club is going to read The Red Tent, for our next discussion. I haven't started it yet, though I have a copy. This weekend I'm supposed to be part of a panel of women in IT jobs. Our audience is going to be highschool girls. I like doing things like this. I just hope that my pain level goes down.

I finally did something I've been meaning to do for a few months now. I applied to be a host at BellaOnline. Wish me luck!

Its Friday, thankfully. The week was fairly ok. Pain level was high because of the cold, but I managed. I didn't miss any work this week though it was a struggle to get up and moving. I learned some technical things about log files that were useful.

I did manage to get some writing done this week, and I hope to do more this weekend.

Most of the time I do like my job, but its not exactly what I would do if I could do anything I wanted to. I enjoy helping people, and I like working with computers. I just wish there was more variety in the types of questions I receive. I want to write and research and assist users.

Blessed Imbolc (to all writers)

May your passion for writing burn as brightly as one of Brighid's fire-arrows

May you be filled with inspiration each day as you put pen to paper

May the works you craft be well-made and strong, like the  bright and shining swords forged by the smiths of old in the service of the Lady
